Panama: Wild Diving in Coiba National Park

Discover the destination

Untouched Nature, Hammerhead Sharks, and the Purest Pacific Adventure

If you’re looking for a different kind of experience—far from mass tourism, with real contact with nature and truly authentic diving—this is your trip. We’re heading to Coiba, one of the best-kept secrets in the diving world. A protected national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where every dive is full of surprises: hammerhead sharks, bull sharks, humpback whales, sea turtles, pristine reefs, and swirling schools of barracuda.

Over 8 or 9 days (depending on the itinerary you choose), you’ll live a full-on adventure. You’ll dive for 4 or 5 days with 3 dives per day, sleep in comfortable accommodations in Santa Catalina, and if you choose the extended version, you’ll also explore Boquete—with mountain hikes, waterfalls, and world-class coffee.

Everything is organized by a local expert team, with personalized service, small groups, and the utmost respect for the ecosystems.

  • 7 or 8 nights of shared accommodation (depending on itinerary)
  • Private round-trip ground transportation from Panama City
  • 4 or 5 days of diving with 3 dives per day in Coiba
  • Certified instructors and full diving equipment included
  • Lunches during diving days (on board or on the island)
  • Daily breakfasts
  • Welcome dinner with Panamanian tasting menu
  • Farewell dinner
  • Mountain and waterfall tour in Boquete (included in extended itinerary)
  • Guided visit to a coffee farm (included in extended itinerary)
  • Full support from the local team + free group leader for groups of 9 or more
  • International flights
  • Meals and dinners on non-diving days
  • Optional activities (surfing, horseback riding, etc.)
  • Tips, personal expenses, or any services not mentioned
  • Travel insurance and dive insurance (mandatory)

Information about luggage

Diving gear is included, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Don’t forget your swimsuit, light and comfortable clothing, sandals, and something warm for Boquete (it has a cool mountain climate). We recommend biodegradable sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Make sure to bring valid ID and your up-to-date diving certification. We’ll send you a practical guide before the trip with everything you need to know.
